THE REPORT ON THE TRIP TO LONDON OF THE GROUP OF STUDENTS AND TEACHERS FROM PRIMARY SCHOOL OF CAMACHA (December 8-11, 2009)
COMENIUS PROJECT
The group of two students and two teachers representing Primary School of Camacha took part in working visit in London in Villiers High School ( Southall, Ealing) in the frame of Comenius project “ Cultural and social integration in the context of Euro 2012” from 8 – 11th December,2009.
Aims of the trip:
- The important aim of the trip was to familiarize the Portuguese students with the British Culture, traditions and main features;
- It was also important to know the school, students and teaching methods;
- Being in contact with different cultures, religions and ways of living because a lot of Indian/ Hindu/ students attend Villiers High School.
The results achieved:
- established friendly relationships with the students of Villiers High School;
- got to know the British educational system and the system of British school organization,
- visit to some of the most important monuments of London:
• Buckingham Palace and the parks surrounding it,
• the Tower of London,
• the Houses of Parliament with the famous Big Ben clock,
• amazing London Eye,
• St Paul’s Cathedral,
• Hyde Park with the incredible occasional Winter Wonderland,
• Madame Tussauds.
