It was the first project meeting that has given a precious opportunity to organize the project work. The aim of the visit was sharing tasks, explanation all activities to each other / how to do and what to do/ , preparing general description of final outcomes. The participants had the opportunity to debate on the project topics and the atmosphere was lively, cooperative and fruitful. Teachers shared opinions about their educational systems, getting know methods and strategies of Italian teaching style. The meeting has been characterized by a rich intercultural dialogue. One of the working session was dedicated to prepare lessons plans about European Union that will be issued in several languages as a didactic material for teachers.
Students actively participated in the meeting activities presenting sports, language and cooking skills and Sicilian culture. The music concert performed by Italian students accomplished the general view of school in Pietrperzia. One of the aspects of the visit it was given to pupils the possibility to get into contact with other European schools in order to understand and respect different European culture in the context of Euro 2012. The work sessions have been organized in a very effective way in order to combine the different tasks for the achievement of a joint work.
As an additional activity the members of the visit have deepened the knowledge of Sicilian culture through two archeological visits: the visit of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento and the visit of the surroundings of Pietraperzia.
